I am passionate about connecting cultures to each other through translation. I didn’t know it at first, but my life has always been pulled towards the language services industry. I’ve grown up speaking Spanish with my family, and I greatly enjoy language learning. I later went to Florida State University, where I received a BA in East Asian Languages and Cultures with a specialization in Chinese and Japanese. Now, I have my MA in Translation and Localization Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
My working language pairs are English, Spanish, and Chinese. I currently work as a Localization Specialist at Yotta Games and my professional goals include working with video games, especially with ensuring that products are properly internationalized and ready for localization. I am also interested in quality assurance and applications of machine translation in the language services industry. During my free time, I’m likely playing video games, reading a book/webcomic/webnovel, or working on my language learning.
